The Nimbasa story arc had better be in Sho4. Gotta get my delicious Elesa.

ReplyDeleteGoddamnit, I hate it so much when in-game stats are in the manga... And pokemon can know up to four moves?! I think Pika knows like fourteen and no one ever said a thing about that...
ReplyDeleteYeah, copying in-game mechanics in manga really makes me sick.
But apart from my whining, yeah, i like the chater, it's pretty cool. Good job with translating it, thank you very much!
@Daniel.
ReplyDeleteWhat. are. you. talking. about?
No Pokemon has never used more than 4 moves in a battle, this isn't the anime.
And this is a manga based off of the games, it's SUPPOSED to copy in game mechanics.

I agree, although I'd much rather have Bianca and Cheren there too
Oh, really? Pika knows Surf and Flash, two HM moves I doubt he forgot. It also knows Thunderbolt and Thunder, Toxic, Substitute, Iron Tail, MegaVolt and Volt Tackle. I could acknowledge the theory that Pokemon Association restricted number of moves that can be used in official Pokemon battles, it's the only explanation for this stupid game mechanic "only 4 moves at once" to remain in manga. It must be in the games to remain balance, but manga is supposed to make mechanics look more realistic, isn't it?
ReplyDelete@daniel i feel that the older version were much more interesting and realistic with power packed actions. But still lets just support whatever the author does
ReplyDeleteThank you for the scanlation!
ReplyDeleteThe "only 4 moves" must be an official battles thing. In platinum it's written in the battle frontier rules that a challenger must choose the 4 moves beforehand.
