Boku Dake ga Inai Machi ch 3

The "calling yourself with your first name" thing in page 21 doesn't translate at all, so I completely removed it. To be honest, I think girls who do that are stupid rather than cute.

Also, thanks to Danganronpa 2, I almost typed "Kirigiri" instead of "Katagiri" many times.

  1. I disagree about removing that
well i know it sounds childish
but in this manga maybe the author used it to show how weird that personality is
so removing it will alter the char personality

  2. It's probably just one of those Japanese things :)
Is anybody else being reminded of Itoshiki Nozomu (Zetsubou-sensei) every time the main character is shown?

  3. I don't know why you would say it doesn't translate at all, referring to yourself in the third person is not unique to Japan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illeism#In_everyday_speech

    1. Most people on that list use it because it's eccentric (Hulk, The Rock), not because it's childish. Do kids in your country usually refer to themselves with their first names?
