While waiting for my lethargic scans, I recommend you go read Q.E.D. and its sister manga C.M.B. It's more like Conan's smaller mysteries, but the minor plot doesn't get in the way of the mysteries, which are consistently good. Plus, it's less focused on Japanese wordplay and more on science and math in general, like a serial murder centered around Euler's formula.
Speaking of science, this current mystery could probably be solved easily by biology majors. I think there has only been one Kindaichi mystery based on computers...damn.

ReplyDeleteI'm already reading Q.E.D and C.M.B, and enjoying them quite a lot. As you said, it's quite a bit different from the standard murder mysteries. It's a shame there aren't more mystery manga out there, actually.
