And a triple release to stave off withdrawal while I pause this for Oriko. Well, from what I hear, Kazumi vol 1 got released early at many places, but Oriko didn't (other than that leak), so I might get another chapter in tomorrow.

I think chapter 5 is how Mr. Itou gets his ideas. Then, he pulls more all-nighters drawing those manga, and gets more ideas. It's a never-ending cycle of horror.

Some group says that they have this cleaned and translated. However, one thing that I find strange is the fact that they said that they bought the raws themselves. These (pretty good) public raws have been released for six months now, so I wonder how long they took to clean and translate it. Anyways, I'll keep going for now, just in case. If there's only one thing that I've learned so far in scanlation, it's that we scanlators operate in Valve time.

It's no secret that Itoh Junji is actually a comedy manga author. It may be because his manga are so scary that they loop around and become funny, or because they're just funny. Anyways, back when the Gyo OVA was announced, I lurked komica (the Taiwanese 4chan) to see what they thought about it. Several of them said something to the effect of "where the fuck is my Cat Diary anime?"; another said, "I was so happy for him when he admitted that he was a comedy author by releasing Cat Diary". I agree with them. Itoh should just make comedy manga.

Anyways, this manga ranges wildly from "wtf am I reading" to "holy fuck this is funny". Give it a try.

Change of Schedule: Oriko Magica, Part 2

Update (April 28th, 2011): The official summary says that Oriko volume 2 is the last one, so everything will be back to normal in July.

Oriko vol 2 was announced. It looks like it's coming out at the usual rate of a volume per month. Anyways, the cover is...interesting.

FTH said that they're going to release Kaibutsu Oujo monthly now to prevent long gaps, so I will only translate every month now.
