Pokemon Special BW ch 19 (CCI 2012-11)

CCI raws should be stable. I couldn't get a PF subscription, though I can order specific issues from Amazon if you guys really want it, thought it would cost at least $40 for the shipping.

    So, about your Pokespe scanlation plan...

    While BW will start in volume 43, it probably won't go anywhere near where you scanlated last by volume 45. And the chapters you haven't scanned were already scanned from the viz releases....

    Have you reached a decision on that?

      Yeah, the base cost of shipping is 3000 yen, and these aren't the days when 100 yen = $1 anymore. The upside of is that each additional item only takes 300 yen, so I can average out the costs by waiting for many issues, but Amazon doesn't sell lots of PF issues.

    ReiZerou from jb2448.info has bought the newest Pokémon Fan from eBay and says that he could try scanning it.

    It would take about one week for it to arrive and the comment was posted on August 30th here:

      Oops, I forgot to respond to it. Yes, but tell him to try to debind the magazine and scan it in 300dpi or greater.

      Any particular resolution? 2400 pixels as height or more I guess?

      ReiZerou won't debind the magazine, but it is 300dpi. Will you still translate it if it is enough HQ? I'm sure some editing with an image editing software will fix the minor flaws.

The computer that my scanner is connected to is very very old and it crashed after I had scanned the pages. : ( I'm trying my hardest to get it working, but it's possible that I will have to do it again with a different computer and maybe even scanner.       I hope this means that subsequent magazines will be debinded.

      You can debind by applying any heat source (hair dryer, iron, microwave) to the binding, and the cheap glue should melt in seconds.

      I'm not ReiZerou, just a reposter (sorry if I confused you while asking for resolution specs, just tried to help ReiZerou out, maybe if I hade made the quotation more clear in the other post it would have been better).


      Also, from what I have understood from reading the comment section on jb2448.info this looks like a one time thing.

      If future Fan scans would help, I can order and get issues for $20 or so at a local import shop, and can debind/scan. Might be cheaper than Amazon prices.

      JB2448, the scans you have on your site are cropped versions, which is probably fine for scanlating it. Just thought that I'd point out that the scans ReiZerou originally sent /a/non were untouched. The original untouched scans gives 100% editing freedom, but I don't think it makes any difference though sice the raws are nicely cropped.
