With the holidays behind us, Ryuushika Ryuushika is back to usual monthly serialization.
You know, when I first picked this up, I imagined that even if this turns out to be more of a battle shounen, there's no way that Ikura and 7Wonders (the Japanese quiz bowl organization) could add power levels to this. I may be proven wrong soon, but I hope not.
I have heard that getting kids these days to learn Kanji is a problem in Japan, but is it really that big of a deal? I'm not Japanese, so I wouldn't know.

I will be making a v2 batch, so don't get any smart ideas about posting a batch on release sites or something. Chapter 1 and 3 in particular have a massive amount of mistakes. In my defense, some of the mistakes on chapter 1, such as an entire missing page, was caused by the Chinese scanlator, but it was fairly obvious in hindsight, since the vertical banner was on the same side for two consecutive pages. Well, whatever. I'll fix them all, so be sure to tell me any typos or mistakes you've found before I release the batch.
It feels so strange to look at good tank raws after cleaning 120 pages of magazine scans. Unfortunately, I ripped one of the sheets (29/30) by accident, and one of sides was a page that wasn't in ch 1 because the Chinese scanlators forgot to include it. Well, it still can be cleaned, I guess.
I wonder how long will it take for the volumes to come out now, since there's no more extra chapters to pad the volume. It might take 10 or so chapters in order to make a volume, which means that volumes come out once a year.
After thinking it over for a while, I decided to go back to distributing unfiltered raws. The reason for curving the raws in advance is so that raw readers can read it. However, since I use a few curves for all of the pages, the levels don't always look so good. Besides, external scanlators just end up using my releases or filtered raws, so I might as well release the good stuff. Nevertheless, these raws are resized down to 1600 pixels tall.
The mystery deepens...
I wonder how this manga will handle that ferris wheel scene. N doesn't seem to get along with Black and White.
I won't do this for every release. I'll definitely do it for Mudazumo ch 48's merged spread, though.

I had my hunches when I saw the chapter summaries, but it really seems that the final battle for DP will be pretty rushed. It might be related to the fact that Platinum is right after this, so parts of Sinnoh have to be saved for the next arc. Or maybe because the arc just dragged on too long.
